The Bedford County Neighborhood Service Center is Located at 210 South Main Street, Shelbyville, Tennessee 37160, and the hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. There are a wide variety of services available for residents of Bedford County. What You need to know before going: For most financial assistance, you will need to bring proof of household income to include any additional sources such as SSI, spouses income, as well as the date of birth and social security numbers of all household members. For heating or cooling assistance, you will need to bring the latest copy of your electric bill. For commodities distribution, you or your designated representative will need to bring the commodities card issued by this office. Currently, there is both a Head Start and Early Head Start (EHS) center located in Bedford county. The Shelbyville Head Start Center is located at 515 Rock Street, Shelbyville, Tennessee 37160.
