Retired Senior Volunteer Program

RSVP -

Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) Serving the Community. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems. RSVP volunteers choose how and where they want to serve - from a few hours to over 40 hours a week. RSVP makes it easy for older adults to find the types of volunteer service opportunities that appeal to them. RSVP volunteers provide hundreds of community services.

Locally our Retired and Senior Volunteers Program serves people in three focus areas: meal delivery, companionship and service to veterans.

Volunteers make the difference!

Volunteering even one hour a week provides a great service to the community as well much needed socialization for those seniors whose lives you are touching through your efforts

Meal Delivery Volunteers
Home delivery volunteers are needed to deliver noon time meals to the homebound seniors in our communities.
Congregate volunteers are needed to help serve the congregate noon time meals at their local meal sites..
Please contact RSVP assistant, Dannette Kermes, at 931-433-7182 ext. 170 for more information.

Companionship Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to provide companionship and assistance to individuals who may be homebound, living alone or in assisted living settings. These people may need a little extra help with preparing a meal, shopping, transportation to doctor appointments or just to visit.
Veterans Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to assist our veterans in accessing community resources, or helping with things like grocery shopping, meal preparation, social activities or just sitting for a visit.

RSVP is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 and over. You can use the skills and talents you’ve learned over the years, or develop new ones while serving in a variety of volunteer activities within your community.

Service opportunities are as diverse as the communities in which volunteers serve .
